Hi Everyone!!
So we're starting this new blog site because Angie Barzee said she'd like to know about any blog sites we have. I usually use my MySpace, but I think this will work just as well and It won't get all mixed up with the rest of everything that is going on! YAY!!
I think this whole blog thing is a GREAT idea and can't wait for the news of everyone to start rolling in! :)
Things here are somewhat stressful, but overall VERY exciting! We are a mere 4 weeks away from moving back to the West Coast, which will be a nice change of scenery as well as a nice change of TEMPERATURE! :) The East Coast, as some of you know, can get humid and MISERABLE at times! We're very excited to get back where we "belong."
I have begun the long-awaited task of packing up the whole house! Andrew is crawling around and making mischeif of himself, but it just makes it that much more interesting and fun. He proceeded to get ahold of the rubberbands today and they were scattered from "heck to breakfast" (as my mom used to say) and I got to enjoy digging under couches, toys and baby bottoms to get all of them up and out of choking hazard territory. Oh fun! I can only imagine what would happen with the permanent marker I use to mark the boxes!
We leave Jacksonville, NC on June 8th. We SHOULD be in Utah by the 11th, IF everything goes well...and that's buying us an extra day of driving. We might have to just drive nights, but I have a feeling that Andrew will be fine during the drive and will be relatively entertained with all the things we've planned for him. I just hope that it goes as well as we have expected. Otherwise this drive could be quite a test of our patience! I feel like we have an awful lot of things to get done between now and the 8th, so if any of you are going to be in the area, feel free to drop by and help me pack things up! I can use all the help I can get!!
John will be driving back across the country with us in June, but unfortunately will have to return on the 26th of June to finish up his contract with the Marines. He'll be completely finished as of August 7th, which is really just around the corner, and then he'll drive his truck back across the country for the last time (hopefully)! We are VERY excited about that. We're looking at moving to Wenatchee where he'd like to get a job with the Sherrif's Department. He looks like a shew-in, but we'll see. There are tests that we have to pass before we can get too excited. We're hoping and praying, though, that's for sure. John signed his final papers today saying that he will NOT be reenlisting (thank goodness!) and denying orders to go back to the fleet which would send him to war, again. We're glad he's getting out. We don't need him back in the sand box again.
Alright... well that's about all the news we have for now. I'll keep you posted with pictures and all of that. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you!! Can't wait to see you all soon... we should try to get a game night set up for when we're in SLC that second week of June!! Love to you all.
Cindy, John and Andrew
